Amelia or Emilia?
I used to be Amelia all the way, but I'm actually leaning toward Emilia at the mo. Which do you prefer, and why?

Amelia. Just looks nicer to my eyes.:)

EmiliaI like that the initial vowel is shorter and higher than in Amelia. I've never liked Amelia, it sounds like a wet dishrag of a name to me. Emilia is a bit more exotic and underused.

I prefer Emilia. Amelia always comes across as, idk, stuck up, to me.

I like both but...I'd choose Emilia because I think it looks better. Both are very nice though.

Two different namesAmelia and Emilia are two different names in my opinion. Amelia (Ah-meh-lia) is a bit dated and I don't really like the look or sound of it. Emilia (eh-mee-lia) has a nice sound and I think it is a name that would age well. I would definitely choose Emilia over Amelia.

Overall I prefer Emilia. Amelia has always felt a bit dusty for some reason. Personally I like Amalia over all these.

I like both but slightly prefer Emilia at the moment. For no real good reason really, I just prefer the way it looks. :)

I prefer Amelia. I have a cousin named Emily and Emilia is close to that. Emilia is a great name, though.

I like both...but I probably like Emilia a smidge more just cuz I see it less.

I prefer Amelia. It looks more "real" to me.

Amelia; I've never seen the other spelling.

Emilia. Mostly because I don't like Amelia that much, but also because it's similar to one of my favourite names, Emily.

Emilia, definitely.Mostly because I can't stand the "e" in Amelia becoming an "ee" sound. I have no idea why, but it terribly bothers me in some name (Eli, Levi, Amelia, etc.) and not at all in others (Daphne, Athena, Lorena, etc.). I think it also looks better.

Emilia, it just looks cleaner. I dislike Amelia completely.
