Help me find a nickname other than Beth for Bethany.
I'm open to suggestions for a nickname for Bethany that isn't Beth.

Bette
Betty, Bet, Betsy, Bettina. :)
Bethany... Hm. Aside from Beth I think of Betty, Bette, and Betsy. I'd not get into Annie or anything like that because to me it seems like far too different of a name, even though the sound is sort of in Bethany.

Being a Bethany myself, I should be able to help you with that. :) I have been known to answer to Beth, Bethy, Betty, Bertha (which I don't like), and Thaney (which is weird). I also know another Bethany, who is eleven years old, and her family calls her Bethy or Bee.

Hi! ;D
I noticed from your other post. I think it's fun meeting other Bethanys. I'm sorry you don't like it. I actually used to hate the name, too, but I guess I gradually became reconciled with it, because I'm alright with it now. I wouldn't mind changing my name to Bethan, though.

Bette, Betty, Bess, Bethie?
Bethany is so pretty, if that was my name I would want to go by that and not a nn.

Thank you for liking my name! :D I do prefer being called by my full name rather than a nn.

Well that's my name and i strongly dislike it. I don't want to change my name because people would go "Oh hi.. Bethany... I mean... Imogene?"

I didn't know it was your name, sorry you dislike it. But I do think it's pretty.
How about Bethan?

Nah I watched this show about English Nannies and there was a Welsh girl called Bethan and she was a brat. That has put me off the name quite a bit!

Funny! Because I used to watch a british show called 24/7 (It was on late at night when my daughter was a newborn), about kids in a boarding school. One girl was named Bethan. She was a bit serious and I think she was a track star or something.
