Arkadii, Arkadi, Arkadiy, Arkady
I had him stuck in my head all day yesterday. WDYT?
Also, which is your spelling of preference: Arkadii, Arkadi, Arkadiy or Arkady? Arkadii is a legit transcription in the same way Dmitrii is. I also used to know one.
Finally, my combo at the moment is Arkadii Samir/ Arkady Samir. WDYT? Any other suggestions?
TIA!

love Arkadii! not so much the character in father's and sons, but i think his name is brilliant. my favorite spellings are Arcadii, Arkadii and Arkady, but Arkadii is the top one.
I was a teenage bookworm. Victorian novels were my drugs of choice, English and Russian ones especially.
Arcady was always the name of a young gallant; a ne'er do well who'd gamble into the night and run off with a young heroine only to ruin her character. Or was that Anatole? Arcady and Anatole get mixed up in my mind. Love them both. Their uncle was usually something delicious like Ippolyte / Ippolit. I'm fuzzy on the spellings, but I think these were the way they were transcribed. So that's what my brain and neuro-receptors respond to best. :-)
Arkady Samir is terrific. Hmm:
Arkady Simon
Arkady Isidore
Arkady Nikolai
Arkady Istvan
Arkady Bertalan
Arkady Serafim
Arkady Markos
Arkady Peter / Pierre
Arkady Maksim / Maxime / Max
Arkady Laszlo
Arkady Julian / Julius
Arkady Pashenka
Arkady Viktor
Arkady Moritz
Arkady Prosper
Arkady Modeste
Arkady Ilias
Arkady Nicodemus / Nikodemus

Oh, Bear! You are a darling to me!
I was going to go through and tell you the ones that I liked, but I only ended up deleting about two from the list. Thanks so much, some awesome combos, and a few more additions to my PNL besides!
Special mention must go to:
Arkady Serafim- I love angels!
Arkady Pashenka- Oh goodness, I want to go to Russia now! Too handsome! Arkady Pavel?
Arkady Modeste :-P
Arkadi Vadim
Arkady Michael- Michael would have been my name if I were a boy. Possibly the only Michael combo that doesn't leave me snoring, lol! :-P
Arkady Stavros
Goodness, I'm going to have such a hard time narrowing them down!

I love it! I prefer it spelt Arkadiy
Arkadii should be legitimate because the last letter of the original Cyrillic is usually written as a y in the English alphabet, because it combines with vowels to create certain sounds or in this case lengthen the end sound, however, it is frequently written as an i as well, like in the cases of Andrei (versus Andrey) and Dmitrii (versus Dmitriy).
Arkadii Samir is awesome. Samir is a very handsome name and they sound well together.
ETA: Ummm... when I copy pasted the Cyrillic it didn't stay the same, so I took it out, but you can see the last letter in the other alphabets thing where the name is linked to it.

Thanks, that's really interesting about the Cyrillic. It's a shame they never copy-paste the same, I always find that when I'm working in Japanese-- thanks for trying though!
Arkadiy does look so interesting, although maybe he isn't the most practical option. :-P
Thanks so much for your comments!
