Charlotte
I had the first name dream in years last night. In my dream I had a daughter. For some reason I didn't name her Estella (my favorite name) but she ended up Charlotte and I called her Lottie.
Her full name was Charlotte Caia.
I always liked Charlotte but felt it was too common. But I really like it now with the nn Lottie. Do you know many girls named Charlotte? Do they go by their full name or a nickname? Will it rise in popularity?
So wdyto Charlotte Caia, nn Lottie?

I've always liked Charlotte. I only knew one girl growing up whose name was Charlotte. We would ride the bus to school together and stood outside catching snowflakes one morning while we waited. She went by her full name, Charlotte. Personally, I'm not a fan of the nick name, Lottie. Charlotte Estella or Charlotte Daisy would be pretty.
Our daughter is Evangeline Charlotte, so obviously Charlotte is one of my all-time favorite names for a girl. I find it to be extremely pretty, both in pronunciation & in its written form, and very classy. I do expect it to rise in popularity. I am not crazy about the nickname Lottie, though. I do tend to like boyish nicknames for girls, so even though we don't have a boyish nickname for our own daughter, I am totally into Charlie as a nickname. The more feminine nicknames Charlize & Carley are also really nice. I don't know how to pronounce Caia. I do like Estelle Charlotte a lot, just as a suggestion! (I prefer Estella, but I don't like Estella Charlotte together).
I'm not a fan of Charlotte but i am a big fan of Lottie, ever since i watched A little Princess when i was about 7 hehe.
I do know quite a few Charlotte's but their all around 19-20 so not really an issue for you. As for popularity i think Charlotte is a name that will never be at the very top end of popularity but will never be out of fashion, if you get me?

My 6 year old cousin is Charlotte Sophie nn Lottie, so I do love the name through association. I love the nn Lottie, Charlie on a girl just doesn't appeal to me at all. It's insanely popular in the UK, where she lives- every time we went out somewhere we'd meet/hear of at least one Charlotte, and they all seemed to have brothers/cousins/friends called James! James is Lottie's twin brothers name. It's also getting quite popular her in Aus, but I'm not sure about the US. But it's a popular classic, rather than trendy populal. I know one Charlotte here, she goes by her full name. Oh and my Charlotte also get's called Lotlots occasionally, mainly by James, as well as Lottie.
If Caia is said like Kaia, then I like Charlotte Caia, especially with the nickname Lottie.
