I can't understand why so many people say it's outdated - it's a classic Biblical name and its Biblical bearer was a judge in Israel, a strong role model for any girl.
I love it, but hate the Debra version, which was popular in Australia at one time.
If it was good enough for Deborah of the Bible and for the lovely and refined British actress Deborah Kerr, then it's good enough for me!
