Mildred is one of my gps. I like the fact that it doesn't sound stereotypically feminine. Mildrith is the more correct form of the name, though. There was an Anglo-Saxon name Mildred but it was a guy's name.
Mildred needs to be paired with a more fresh and feminine mn to balance out its harshness and out-datedness. Keeping that in mind I love the following combos:

Mildred Cecily
Mildred Clare - I especially like this spelling of Clare.
