Teleia. how would u pronounce it?
my new nieces name.
The nurse at the hospital got it right.. everyone on here so far thinks that it is Te-LAY-uh because of this spelling. which is my sisters fault because she was the one who wanted the -ia on the end. She could have just gone with the other name she liked which was Tahlia.
because Telia to me is more like Delia and Celia..
the most logical way for all you to understand how we are pronouncing it would be to spell it T'Leah because the emphasis is on the LEE sound at the end. I personally would have spelt it Taleea
anyways everyone here in Aus so far likes the spelling Teleia to look at and nobody has got the pronunciation wrong except my stupid cousin who thought it was Tallulah.

Instinctively, I'd say teh-LAY-uh.
I pronounce it Tuh-lee-ah. I think the name is cute and I like the spelling.
It does look pretty but I would prn it te-LAY-uh
and I'm in Australia too.

I would've guessed Tel-LAY-uh. But I think people today are very accepting of names that could be pronounced many ways.
Did your sister create the name?

she liked Tahlia
but couldn't work out how to spell it. She had written down Taleah and I said its more like Ta-LEAH with the emphasis on the LEE part, rather than the TA part.
and she liked that pronunciation better. Teleia was the prettiest spelling that we thought made sense.

Taleah makes the most sense imo
te-LAY-uh. I think it looks pretty.
My first thought was teh-LIE-ah, only because German class has me used to saying ei as a long i sound. I can see where teh-LEE-ah comes from if it's broken up like Tele/i/a, but it's much more natural to break it like Te/lei/a.
I was thinking Te-LAY-uh too
