I love Clara and I think it is simple, yet pretty. I don't think it will get common, but the trends can change quickly with celebrity baby names. I know one Clara. I like both spellings, but I don't prefer one over the other. I prefer both over Clare and Claire.

I love Clara. It's recently moved back onto my short list. I prefer Clara to Klara.
I don't know anyone with the name.
At present, I prefer Clara to Clare, but it's usually the other way around. (I only like the spelling Clare.)
Those names are nice for sisters. They go together very well.

I'd conjecture that its popularity will gradually increase; however, I doubt the name will become immensely common.
I'm acquainted with two individuals named Clara -- one is 17, and the other is approximately 40.
I'm thoroughly enamored of Clare, and I consequently prefer it to Clara. However, I strongly prefer Clara to both Klara and Claire.
I admire Estella Jane, Mary Victoria, Elinor, Daisy, and Clara Emmeline; alas, I think Phoebe and Christian -- particularly the latter -- clash significantly with the aforementioned names.
