Re: Richard

My grandfather's name is Richard. It is pronounced the Danish way (which is very similar to the German).
There is also a young Danish/German prince named Richard (born 1999). He is the son of Alexandra, Princess zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, and count Jefferson von Pfeil und Klein-Ellguth.
Prince Richard's full name is count Friedrich Richard Oscar Jefferson von Pfeil und Klein-Ellguth, but he goes by Richard. His little sister is Ingrid Alexandra Irma Astrid Benedikte von Pfeil und Klein-Ellguth.*
I only like the pronounciation of Richard in English. It is too harsh sounding for my taste when pronounced in Danish.
*) I had to look that up, I did not know that by heart...!
