Spencer and Harper
I have been liking it a lot lately. I like the sound, and I think "Spence" is a cute nn. I think I've seen it cropping up here and there on favorite lists aroung BtN, but I was wondering what people think of it in general. Also, I don't think it goes too well with my other names: Simon, Gideon, Allegra, Stella. Too many S names if I add Spencer?Harper for a girl. WDYT? Many reasons I like it: It has musical connotations that I love. Harper Lee - To Kill a Mockingbird, enough said. I even like the tomboyish quality. Even though it could be boy or girl, I would only use it on a girl.Neither of these is really my normal style, but I find myself liking them more and more. Would Spencer and Harper be a bad sibset because of the common -er?Edit for typo

I adore Harper for a girl - also because of 'To Kill a Mockingbird'. I'm not musical, but the harp is certainly a beautiful instrument, so that's a nice link too :-)I'm not such a fan of Spencer ... It sounds a bit pretentious to me, and reminds me of the British Spencer family and all their dramas dragged through the press ..._____________________________________________________________________Elinor"Yeehaw!" is not a foreign policy!

I like them both really well. I agree that Spence is a cute nm and I would only use Harper for a girl as well. As for Spencer going with your other names I think it fits in well.I like the Spencer/Harper sibset myselfI have a dear friend named Harper and she past on a few months ago and I have never known a sweeter gal.

I don't like either name but Harper is the lesser of the two evils.

I like Spencer and I think it's fine with your other names. It sounds nice and the nn Spence is pretty cute.I LOVE the name Harper, although it doesn't sound the greatest with Spencer. It reminds me of a friend of mine who plays the harp which is probably why I think of it as more of a girl's name than a boy's name. I think it's very musical and brings to mind a strong yet graceful girl.EDIT: My harp-playing friend is female. Sorry, that wasn't very clear in my original message.

Spencer not HarperI think Spencer and Harper wouldn't be a ever good sibset but I think Spencer does go well with your other names!Spencer & Gideon
Spencer & Allegra
Spencer & Simon
Spencer & StellaThose are all fine but I wouldn't go with Spencer & Harper unless they were both boys or both girls because of the same sound at the end. And I don't know if Harper really goes with your other names very well *sorry*.
