Honestly, I can't picture it as a FN, I know a guy with it as a surname and can really only think of it that was. As surnames-gone-first names go, it could be a cool name, though, it's snappy sounding, with a nice -ck ending.Drew, Donovan and Kendrick is all right. Drew, Kendrick and something else might be better.Kendrick Raphael…I think Kendrick needs something in the middle that can match its snappiness and, somehow, heaviness, and Raphael is really just light and flowing. Kendrick Robert, Kendrick Rupert, Kendrick Rudolf? Hmm, I'm not sure about those.

Donovan is already hereDrew and Donovan are my sons, so he's here to stay. LOL Raphael has meaning significance. It would be very appropriate for me. I do appreciate you explaining why you don't think they match. I see what you mean about the Heaviness of Knedrick and the lightness of Raphael. Our last name is sort of heavy as well, so I think it would have a good 'rhythm' overall.

Ah, I see! Thought it was hypothetical like many of the sibsets on here are. Understand about Raphael, I think meaning in middle names trumps flow and matching with the first name.

It's a fave of mine. I met a guy named that at work. He went by Kendrick, never Ken or Kenny, even though it was his middle name. Very striking but not overbearing. It didn't hurt the name's image for me, that he was friendly, bright, and attractive. I like the way Kendrick seems very neutral demographically, too; it isn't associated with one class or race or age, nor does it make any other statement.Drew is another fave of mine, so I think it goes perfect. I guess it goes okay with Donovan. K. Raphael is cool.

ThanksIt's great to hear from someone who actually knows a Kendrick. I would probably call him Kendrick all the time as well. My Donovan is always Donovan.
