Re: Candace

I love Candace and I definitely prefer that spelling. I say Can-diss or Can-days, but only the second one if I'm really tired.
I dislike nn Candy, and Can would be okay, but it's such a common word in English. I like nn Dacey (day-SEE). I dislike nn Daisy, and the pronunciation KAN-day-see.
I know one Candace (20) and one Candice (16), I do not know their mns.
I don't really think its dated to the 80s as it remained fairly popular through the early nineties, but I guess it could be a little.
I hate Cadence. It seems like asking your child to march to the same beat for their entire life, or be the beat by which others determine their own lives, either of which is like asking to much. Then again I almost always read to much into musical names.
