Re: Candace

I like Candace, it is not too common but familiar enough to not cause problems. I think it is a strong, classy name.I prefer CandaceI hate the nns Candy and CanI pronounce it KAN-dass or KAN-dis when I am speaking quicklyI find the prn KAN-day-see a bit forced and I think you would struggle to get other people to use that pronunciation. And the kid would spend their life correcting people. So no, I don't like Candace nn Daisy.Yep, I know two Candaces and a Candaice. One of them occasionally goes by Candy. I hate Candy. Like hate it beyond words. And this fierce hate is the only reason I would never even consider using Candace. I don't want any daughter of mine to have a name where she could conceivably choose to be known as Candy. The Candaces I know are 22, 21 and 3. I don't know their mns.I don't think its dated.I don't like Cadence. Its too trendy
