Maizie
I've came across this name recently. I think it's supposed to be a variant of Maisie. I can't say I like it very much as a full name, it's childish and nicknamey. But I guess it could be cute as a nn for Margaret or something.

I much prefer Maisie, and even then I slightly prefer it as a nn. I do know a Maizie, but it's a nn. She's 3 years old, and her full name is Mabel Audrey Z(lastname). Her fn and mn are after her late grandmothers, and she's been called Maizie from day one. I think it's sweet.

I much prefer Maisie. I used to love this name before I had kids, and then I discovered Maisie Mouse. Whenever I hear the name now, I start humming the theme tune to the very cute cartoon. I guess if Daisy's okay as a full name, then why not Maisie.

I agree..I think it's terrible as a full name, very childish and immature. I don't even like it as a nickname, though. I much prefer Maggie or Greta as a nickname for Margaret.

I know someone whose daughter is Maisy Jane, and the stories she tells of the girl, I couldn't imagine her with any other name. I can understand it seeming nicknamey but I like it. Wouldn't use it as it doesn't match my other names, but I don't mind it. There are far worse options. >.>

I like Maisie much better than Maizie. I think it works best as a nn for Mae/May, just because it sounds nothing like Margaret.

AgreeThough I prefer it spelled Maisie, I think it is cute as a NN.

I agree Maisie has a real vintage feel, too.I tend to love nns for Margaret but not the name itself and I always feel like a full name is required...

I feel that way about Margaret and NNs having full names, too!
