Does anyone know of a name with this pronunciation?
(I thought of putting this on the name fact board, but since I also want opinions and figured I'd also get more responses here...)
I've been thinking of the name Ottilia [o-TIL-ee-a] lately, but I really really wished it was pronounced ah-ti-LY-a. I'm not one for using a traditional name and changing the pronunciation or made-up names so I was wondering if anyone knows a real name that's pronounced (something like) ah-ti-LY-a. Also, what do you think of it?Thanks guys!ETA: Ooh! I just discovered Atalia, which has a-de-LIE-a as one of it's pronunciations! Although I really prefer Os to As, so if your help is still needed! Know of any O names with that pronunciation?ETA2: Oops. Adalia is a boys name. Grr.

I would suggest Aglaia, which is pronounced ah-GLY-ah, which has the "ah" beginning and the "LY-ah" ending. WDYT?

Adelaide is pronounced in some dialects as ah-de-laEE-de which is kind of like ah de LIE de. That and Adalia are as close as I can get...

I just did a quick google search.Atalaia and Atalaya are place names. Also, Atilaya appears to be a Thai name (no idea if it's m or f). Maybe one of those could work? :-)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atalaia
