Both!I love both name! In fact, we were going to name our kitten Gretchen Grace unill we found out he was a boy and had to change it to Gunther Gideon! :)I think Grace is prettier than Gretchen but Grace is so popular now! I love both but propably I love Grace more! :)

Gretchen. I think it's beautiful, fun, and classy. It's not nearly so overused as Grace and it's a lot more exciting. People have pointed out to me that it sounds "harsh" and that the "retch" sound is unappealing. I really love it though."No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

I much prefer Gretchen.I dislike virtue names, especially Grace. It's way too sugary-sweet for me. It's also pretty popular/trendy/overused. -Amy-

I prefer Grace because the name Gretchen has a very harsh sound.

I like Grace especially as a mn.
But I don't care for Gretchen. I don't like the English pronounciation and the name always reminds me of the character in Geothe's drama "Faust".

I prefer Grace because it has such a lovely sound and meaning. Gretchen is nice as well, but I dislike it's pronounciation."Les yeux sont aveugles. Il faut chercher avec le coeur." -- Le Petit Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Grace. So much nicer, prettier and softer sounding. Gretchen just sounds horrible to me, sorry!

Gretchen, just because I like it more and Grace has been way overdone lately.

I love Gretchen. I have a family friend with that name and have always loved it. It's an actual name but is unique because not very many people have it. I love the combo Gretchen Paige.

I like Grace better because Gretchen to me sounds harsh. Like the angel and the devil on your shoulder. Grace would be the angel and Gretchen would be the devil. I know weird but that just popped in my head.

Grace is beautiful to me, but I prefer Gretchen. I don't really know why. Probably because it is foreign and less common in the US. It sounds like the bearer has lots of energy, where as Grace is sort of like a Laura, perfect, feminine, and has wonderful manners. Funny thing is, the Grace I know is entirely the opposite!

Grace, because it sounds elegant to me. :)

I really like both! I'll have to go with Gretchen though.
