I like it quite a bit, but it's definitely not my favorite mythology name.
I think I've heard something along the lines of when Pandora released all the chaos into the world, she also released hope or something similar, which may make the story more positive.

I think hope was what was left in the chest after everything else was released. So yeah, not a negative story really.

I looked it up after I said that
And found both versions...
either hope stays in, where it is kept safe or it is released to help people.
I think either is positive, depending on ow you interpret it.
