Re: Oriana

I know, and BtN lists it as something other than a Hebrew name. However, I'm just going by Alfred Kolatch's book, which says the following:
Possibly derived from the Hebrew name Ori, meaning "my light [G*d]," plus -ana, meaning "answered." The exact Hebrew equivalent is Oriana.
I just got all excited to see that it was Hebrew. :-)

It could be both a Hebrew and Latin name. Many of the same names have diffrent orgins.
