Hmm. If depends, I'd have to see the face of the child. Like, if I saw an Asian child wearing a nametag reading "Kaede", I'd probably ask for the pronounciation.
If I saw a child who did not look like he had even the tiniest bit of Asian in him, I'd assume it was a trendy spelling of Kade.
