I prefer Michelle but I am being a little biased as that is my name. When I was little I was nick named Shelly and now I am mostly called Shell. My mn is Louise which I think goes pretty well.
It might sound weird but I dont like the look of the name Raquel, it just doesnt look right to me.

Both are lovely, but they rhyme so they can't be used in a sibset. Michelle is probably on its way down in terms of popularity, but that only means that it's a perfect time to use it. Raquel sounds like a supermodel's name.

Michelle is dated, I don't like it at all. Raquel is okay.

I find them both really dated. I much prefer Rachel to Raquel and prefer other 'elle' names like Isabelle, Mirabelle, Annabelle...
