Brenden or Brendan?
Brenden is a variant form of Brendan and they both mean "prince."
I'm considering changing the name of one of the characters in my book to one of these two names because his spouse's name is Sarah, which means princess. I figure they make a nice combo. =)
Which one do you prefer?

I guess I would choose the spelling on the basis of what you think this character's parents were like.If they were highly educated traditional people, especially if they had Irish ancestry, they would undoubtedly choose Brendan because it's the more traditional spelling. If they didn't fit the above description, they'd have a better chance of choosing the spelling Brenden.

I prefer Brenden, but only because I pronounce all of the Brend-n names differently based on the last vowel and I like the PRN of Brenden best. But if I said them all the same, it'd be Brendan.

BrendenNot sure why but I prefer the use of just the one vowel, esp. as it sounds the same when pronounced.

BrendanThere's no point in changing the spelling of a perfectly good name
