I love Fiona. In fact, it's my cat's name. Shrek came out less then a year after we got her, so people often ask if she was named after that Fiona, but we did, in fact, name her before that. I don't think the association is strong enough that it should keep you from using it. Nor is it a bad association, really. It's not like the unfortunate "ugly sea witch" connection that Ursula has.
