I think it's a very pretty name. I have positive associations with it; Fiona from "Shrek" and the British actress Fiona Shaw. If I were you, I wouldn't care about the associations: I would not at all call an association with "Shrek" negative. Fiona is a beautiful and kind character, is she not? Now, if you named your child after a villain from a well-known film (Sauron, for example), that would be an other matter entirely. But as long as there are positive associations, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use the name. It wouldn't be a burden to your child, believe me. :)
