Only in the top 27? Where do you live? In BC it's very high (top 20) last year.
If you choose to actually use the name, I'd recommend pairing it with something less overdone or something that can be used as a double name.
As for flower names in general, it really depends on the child and the flower. Lily seems like a calm and quiet name (opposite of say "Brianna") while Jasmine seems a little perkier, while not being excessively so. Amaryllis seems like a strong flower name while Violet may be another quiet one... and Daisy... kind of a sunny, happy name.

I live in the U.S.I looked it up, and it says Lily was #27 for 2007. I can see it being more popular in other places, though; in America, we tend to adopt name trends from other countries/cultures first. I guess that's only natural in a country with so many immigrants.
