Eva is pronounced Ee-va. Ava is pronounced Ay-va. It should be spelled as it is pronounced or the child will forever be correcting everyone.

Eva I am Latino, and everyone I know named Eva pronounces it Ay-vah.

It can be pronounced Ay-vah (Italian), EE-va (English), or E-vah (Spanish).

Don't talk to yourself please, Evita/Carmen . . .It's against the rules to post under more than one name. The posts by 'Evita' and 'Carmen' came from the same computer with about 1 minute separating them. Ergo, they were made by the same person. Please don't do this again. You must only post as Evita.
