It reminds me of jellybeans for no reason that I can think of, other than that they start with the same letter. Pink jellybeans in particular.
I don't know many Jasons, and I guess it does seem a bit dated, I think it was the 'Josh' ten years before Josh (in NZ anyway).
Plus there's a character on Coronation St called Jason who's a bit of a prat, and his girlfriend says his name really annoyingly (sort of like jay-SERN, (in non-rhotic dialects the 'r' isn't prn, but the last syllable rhymes with 'turn' and I can't think of how to explain how the name's prn otherwise, sorry!) instead of JAY-sin). All of those factors add up to making me really not liking the name.
