ZoraZara always strikes me as a gimmicky version of Sarah. I don't care for it.Zora, on the other hand, I associate with Zora Neal (sp?) Hurston (sp?). While I'm ashamed to admit I haven't read any of her work, I saw a documentary on her recently and she seemed like a kick in the pants. A very great woman.I think Zora needs a mn with some heft to it, to match the dignity of Zora:Zora Eugenia
Zora Magdalene
Zora Camille
Zora Mercy
Zora Veronique
Zora Helen
Zora Katharine
Zora Demetria
Zora Miriam
Zora Gabrielle
Zora Constance
Zora Drusilla
Zora Marguerite
Zora Germaine
Zora Mehetabel
Zora Carmen
Zora Freedom
Zora Mariska
Zora Roxanne
Zora Tanith
Zora JonquilYou like? Happy hunting!

Zora Neale Hurston: Their Eyes Were Watching God; 1937If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. It was the end of, and the epitome of the Harlem Renaissance. It's an easy read. Now I really like that name better... I hadn't even thought of her. ;)

Zora!Because it makes me think of Zoras from Zelda, and they're my favorite. Also because Zara sounds too much like Sarah, but it's not. Somehow Zora has an old-fashioned feel to me. Maybe because it reminds me of Zelda, which reminds me of Zella, which was my great-grandmother's name. Huh.Zora Catherine
Zora Charlotte
Zora Claire
Zora Frances
Zora Juliet
Zora Margaret
Zora Mary
Zora Penelope
Zora Violet
Zora Vivian (I like this one!)

I reacon Zara is rather girly, and I like the ring of Zora Belle. :D
But then again, Zora sounds very close to Sora, which isn't an all together bad thing, specially if she goes to MLC :D

I like both of them, but I prefer the spelling Zahrah instead of Zara. Apparently that's the original spelling of the name. I really like the meaning of Zora, though.I also like the name Zahara, which is Arabic and Hebrew, and it means "Flowering; shining." That name has variants like Sahara, and Zohra. I guess if you liked the meaning "flowering; shining" better than "dawn" all you have to do is add an H into Zora.(What's with me and the H's tonight? Sorry.)
