I knew one girl named Amity. I always thought it was kind of cute.

The Amityville Horror thing lingers in the back of my mind. But if I knew someone withthis name I think it would go away quickly. It has a pretty sound and, obviously, a nice meaning. I would avoid another noun in combination with it.
