Genevieve
I have learned to love this name. It is sophisticated and elegant, without being to princessy. I think it is a great substitute for the overused Jennifer, and rolls off the tongue. What do you think?

I love Genevieve. It fits well with a lot of names, but all French combos are my favorites. It is one of the few "borrowed" foreign names where I don't really mind the English pronunciation.

Love it. It really is elegant, feminine and awesome. It does bring to mind the movie Madeline, where in a particular scene, Miss Clavell is calling after the dog, "Genevieve! Genevieve!" But, besides that, it brings to mind a very classy lady. :D

Love itbut I don't at all connect it to Jennifer. Yes, I know both are derivatives of Guinevere, but Genevieve is far superior to Jennifer.Don't care for the nn Gen/Genny. If a nn is used, would prefer Eve. Though I like this name best in full.

I like it a lot and it is quite beautiful I feel that it has a sophisticated air, without being too snooty.

I used to like this name, but now it sounds snotty and pretentious to me. It reminds me of a girl who is always wearing pink tutus and whining to get what she wants.I don't know what made me dislike it; it just sort of happened. I even removed it from my PNL recently.

I love it! I used to think it was too much, but your are right, it does roll of the tongue quite easily.

I love it too. My boss's 5 yr old daughter's name is Genevieve, and another coworker has a 1 yr old daughter named Mila Genevieve... I don't know if that's really evidence of it growing in popularity too much though. I think its a wonderful name!

I love this name very much.

I really love it! I'm torn between the American pronunciation JEN-ah-veev and the traditional French pronunciation zhawn-vee-EV. Both are really beautiful, although the American version is obviously much more common in America.

I've always liked this name. It's very beautiful. I'd use Evi (eh-vie, not ee-vie) as a nickname.

I like Genevieve a lot, though I'm not a fan of Genny/Jenny as the nickname. Eve, Evie, and Vivi are my favorites.
