Luna is one of the best names ever! It's one of my names in the unlikely event if I ever have or adopt children. Luna Morgana is the one I picked out. So beautiful, I highly recommend it! :)

I want to like Luna. I do like the way it looks and even sounds, but alas, the first thing that comes to mind is 'lunatic.'

I find it too moony.

I was starting to think that I was the only one who thought this name was much too close to "looney" and "lunatic" to make it usable, until I saw LuzDeTuVida's post. I'd really put this one on the shelf. It is extremely teaseworthy. And has bad vibes, in my opinion. I don't like the way it sounds, anyway.

I really like the name Luna, but I feel like any child with this name is doomed to be teased as "loony." That's what I thought of when I heard the name for the first time as a child, and it's not helped by the Harry Potter character who is often called Loony Lovegood. Shame though, because it's a wonderful name. Someone said I looked like a Luna in the "Rename Me" game.

I have a classmate named marissa who goes by luna. she's pretty cool, but in-freaking-sane. in german class she always asks about being pregnant, and just yesterday she texted me "a moldy cheese muffin for your toughts, good sir?" (I'm a female)

Love it. I have a daughter coming in 3.5 months, and I want to name her Luna May, but my wife refuses because there is a carpet company called Luna in our area (Chicagoland) that advertises constantly on tv with an annoying song that goes "Lu-na".

I like Luna.
