Aisling = Ash-ling but I have heard Ash-linn
Aislinn = Ash-linn
I should like it more than do - it's a lovely name but it's so popular here (Ireland).
It means a particular type of dream - a patriotic vision which was a device used in poetry. You woudln't use it for everyday dreams.
A friend of mine who lives aay from Ireland has a daughter called Ashlinn Erin which I rather like.
