I pronounce both with the flat American 'a,' however, I've heard ca-SAHN-dra often enough not to be surprised.

I say ca-SAHN-dra......but my sister, who is considering naming a future daughter this, says ca-SAN-dra.I've never seen Calandra before, so I can't say I really have a default pronunciation for it. I'd probably do ca-LAHN-dra just because the a (as in cat) sound is kind of ugly to me.

cassandra - cah-sann-drah or cuh-sun-drahcalandra - cah-lann-drah i like them both the same. i prefer callie over cassie so i'd go with calandra. it is less common as well.

German: cah-SUNN-dra (short middle syllable)... mEnglish: cah-SANN-draAs for Calandra, I'd pronounce it cah-LANN-dra in English and cah-LUNN-dra (short middle syllable) in German.

Ca-sann-dra and Ca-lann-dra for me. I don't have much of an opinion on Calandra, but lately I've been thinking that Cassandra is particularly pretty. I enjoy what, now that I put some thought into it, is quite the variety of things about the name: it's long and feminine but still classy and 'together,' the Cass- beginning of female names has a friendly sort of sound to me, and I love Sandra, Sandrine, and Sandy as nicknames. For whatever reason it isn't one of my personal favorites but I certainly do like it.

I have a friend named Cassandra, and everyone I know says her name ka-SAN-dra, and similarly I'd be inclined to pronounce Calandra ka-LAN-dra.

Ditto DittoI think that Calandra is prettier too. Ever since I was ten years old and read that Jude Devereaux romance "Remembrance." They called her Callie, not that I'm particularly fond of that nn, but I still like Calandra better.

Cassandra is my middle name, and I pronounce it [Kah-SAHN-dra], with a long "ah" in the middle.
Calandra: I've never actually heard this used before, but I would take a guess and pronounce it [Kah-LANN-dra].
