Osiris
This name has been growing on me a lot lately. For some reason I really really love O sounds at the beginning of names. Probably because they give off this pretty midnight black to me. I also am really into long I sounds at the moment. Come to think of it, that probably explains my love of Io. Anyway, yes, Osiris. It's not quite to the point of I-really-really-like-it-enough-to-make-combos yet, but it's getting there. WDYT?

Seriously I LOVE this + question [m]sadly I cannot use it. I want to so badly it's so awesome! I know of someone who has a son named Osiris. I'd love to use it as a MN I wish it wasn't the name of a god.ETA: there's nothing else that has the name Osiris is there besides the god? is there by any little hope...lol. I will always have to use it on my sims :/.oh I found Osiris shoes an stakeboarding but I doubt I could use it for any of those.

Nope, no way, never.
Gods and goddesses are fine with me, but some of them step over the line! It's sort of gimicky.

I'm not a huge fan of it. I think it's the story behind the God Osiris that puts me off (you know chopped up and put in a box, marrying his sister etc). In fact, I feel that way about most of the Egyptian God/ess names. Isis and Seth etc, I like them for the God/ess themselves but not on a person... does that make sense? It's not a bad name though, and I don't really mind the sound.Other 'O' names that come to mind are; Omar, Otto, Olaf (though that gives out creepy vibes for some reason), Ollie (a bit sooky though),and Orion (love this).

I really like Osiris, its a skate brand here but not hugely common so it would still be usable.
