Phoenix
Lately I've been loving the name Phoenix. I know it's quite out-there but I just find it beautiful, and I love the mythical connotations.
I love it for both sexes, but I'd sooner use it for a girl. I like it paired with quite frilly middle names, especially Phoenix Gabriella. WDYT?

er... Not pretty in my opinion, but it is in yours, so if you like it, use it!
I think it's really cool, and I like it for a girl's name too. I'm sort of into mythological creatures. And yes, it is unusual, but some people have unusual names and are proud of them. My neighbor has a cat named Pheonix, but they call it Nixy.
I think I do like it better for a girl than a boy but it's still not my style really, sorry! :)
It does make me think of something from Jane Austen that I was reading the other day:
"Madam-
You are a Phoenix. Your taste is refind, your sentiments are noble, & your virtues innumerable. Your person is lovely, your figure, elegant, & your form, majestic. Your manners are polished, your conversation is rational & your appearance singular." - Jane Austen, from The Beautiful Cassandra

I love it a lot!!!!!!!!!!
Phoenix is the mythical creature to me - I may use the name in a fantasy story, but not on a real life child. And even so, I don't think it's feminine enough for a girl, sorry.
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how

I don't care for it, and especially not for a girl. But I've definitely seen worse, lol. :) BTW, I recently met a woman in her 30s named Phoenix. I thought that was oddly interesting. BTW, if it's used for a girl, a very feminine mn is definitely a good idea imo. Phoenix Gabriella isn't bad. :b

I love it, its in my top 10 for a boy though, however I think Scary Spice named her daughter Phoenix
Well, granted I prefer it for a boy, but I love it.
For a time it was in my top 10.
