Sinead
My friend just had a daughter and named her Sinead. What do you think of it ? Her older sister is Alyssa. What do you think of Alyssa ? I dislike Sinead. It makes me think of "skin head" for some reason. Alyssa is okay but way too common.

It makes me think of the ghastly Sinead O'Connor.

I think Sinead is quite pretty. Alyssa is too common and trendy for my liking.

don't really like Sinead... reminds me too much of Sinead O'Connor (don't know how many outside Canada know of her though), who's rather butch... and did an anti-meat commercial while wearing a leather jacket... Gotta love that...

I really like the name Sinead. I think it went through a brief spell of popularity when Sinead O'Connor first became famous.Alyssa looks a bit frilly to me but I don't mind it. I've never worked out why it hasn't caught on in Britain. As a sibset I think both names go together well.

It's pretty. I have issues with the Sha sound, but I do really like it. I have a friend called Sinead, so I have good associations because of that.Alyssa, on the other hand, is so frilly and silly.

I think Sinead is okay. The sound is not my favorite. The only association I have is the singer Sinead O'Connor.
But I don't think Sinead goes well with Alyssa in a sibset. They're too different in style and popularity.

'Skin head', is that because of Sinead O'Connor? That's who I think of when I hear the name. Sinead and Alyssa are so different, one being very rare, the other kind of trendy!
I don't personally like it, but it's better than Hailey or something.

noI do think of the word skin head first but it's not because of Sinead O'Connor. It's because when I see it written down I always want to say SHIN-nett even though I know it's wrong and that reminds me of skin head. Unfortunately it also makes me think of sh*t head :/ (sorry not trying to be mean but I can't help it). Those are the first two associations and then it's Sinead O'Connor.

I do like Alyssa but I like it spelled Alissa.
