Melana: I would pronounce it Ma-LAH-Nah. It's okay, but I like Melanie much better.
Also, please try to consolidate yoru posts rather than having one immediately following another. You have a post asking about Meriel or something directly below this one. If you suddenly think of another name you want to ask about, you can go in and add it to your original post, with a notation in the subject line that you have "edited to add something/another name." That will save board space.
