I knew a girl named Stevie in elementary school. I think that spelling looks better, and I think it's alright as a nickname for Stephanie. I don't like it by itself though.

I'm assuming it's pronounced STEE-vee. I don't like it. I think it's bad enough on a boy (I grew up with a guy named Stevie) so for a girl it just seems bad. Maybe as a nn for Stephanie, but never a full name.
