Summer or Somer
Here I go with a spelling variation again. I've always loved Summer for a girl, uncharacteristically, since I tend to like old, classic names and Summer is anything but. Also, I hate the season summer, but I love the sound of the word.
But something also draws me to the spelling Somer. It sounds like a surname, and as such seems like a name that could have been given to a girl back in the nineteenth century, so it doesn't seem so hippie-ish.
Which spelling do you prefer?

I prefer Summer. I love the season and like the name. :-)
Summer. Somer doesn't look 'right'. I think Sommersby or Summersby would be a better alternative w/ the nickname Sommer/Summer.
Definitely Summer.
Prefer Summer.
Definitely Summer!
I prefer Summer. :)
Summer by far. Somer looks wrong to me, and i rpn. it slightly differently.
I like Summer. I look after the cutest little Summer, age 3, and it really suits her.

I know of two Summers one spells it Summer which I prefer. The other my second cousin spells it Sommer.
Somer just looks odd to me.
