Granite
I am in LOOOOOOOOOOVE with the name Grant, and even moreso with "Granite".
Do you think Granite could work as a boy's name?

Well, I've always thought Granite was one of the most supremely ugly words in the English language. But whatever floats your boat :P
I like mirfak's suggestion of Grant with often-nickname Granite; seems genius to me. Great nickname.

Granite is fine for counter tops and other things of that nature, but not so much as a name. I'd stick with Grant.
no!
Grant is a fine man's name but Granite reminds me of the saying "thick as a brick." or in this case, "as thick as Granite."

No. I think it's too laughable. Sounds like a pornstar. Oooh, Granite, you're so hard and rough!
Grant is really cool, though, and could be nicknamed Granite in a tongue-in-cheek, flirty way.

Yes
No way. It's not a name for me. It would be really hard to carry, and will elicit a lot of jokes if the kid happens to be stubborn. Stick with Grant, it's a nice name.
Yes
If he happened to be the hunk in a trashy romance novel with a huge 'member' and toned chest with friends called Steel and Wolf.
No, if it was used on a real life person. That's just daft. Stick with Grant.

no
Unless he was some kind of wrestler or superhero. Otherwise it seems very pretentious, like Steel or Tuff.

I don't think so, sorry. I like Grant though.
I've heard names worse than Granite and I suppose it could work for a name. It reminds me of Granite countertops though
No, it's even tackier than naming a boy Rock.
Yeah, I think Granite could work. I'd put it in the middle name spot, though, simply because I keep misreading it as Granita, lol.
I like the idea of Granite a lot, though. Red granite is my state's state rock, and I love pretty much everything attached to my state. ;)

Defly Grant. Granite is a rock.
Grant is heaps better, I am biased though, my fiance is named Grant.
...Just stick with Grant.
Definitely ditto.
