Preston
It's my absolute favourite boy's name. What do you think?

I'm totally in love with this name! I chose Preston as the name of the main character's boyfriend in my story. It's sooooooooo cute!!!!!
It's a place in England that believe me, you wouldn't want to name a child after

Sounds very preppy but its ok.
Sounds geeky...
I really like the name Preston too. I think it is so cute, and at the same time an adult name too.
I like it, it's a cute name!
Not bad!
I don't like surnames as names unless they are surnames in the recipient's ancestry or to honour a personal friend or relative.
Preston is the name of an old landed Scottish family, and as early as about 1700 the name was being used as a first name in that family and families descended from it - including girls.
Preston makes me think of the Scarvo twins in Desperate Houeswives - Porter and Preston, with siblings Parker and Penny.
Of those boys' names I certainly like Preston best.

I used to really like it until I met a woman with the surname Preston who turned me off of the name. I definitely wouldn't use it now, but I think that it still sounds nice.

It's not a terrible name, but I wouldn't use it. It just sounds stuck up in my opinion.
sounds too pretentious
I hate it...
for three reasons.
Firstly, because it's very trendy, and totally nmsaa.
Secondly, because it is the name of a Z-list 'celebrity' who was on Big Brother here in the UK. I can't help associating it with him.
Thirdly, because I live not too far away from Preston and it's not a place I'ds particularly want to name my child after.
Sorry!

It's okay, I like that it isn't made up but I'm not real into surnames as first-names. Also there is a very wealthy and pretentious area in the area where I live so I tend to think of it as a pretentious name. I might like it if it weren't for that association by it's fairly overpowering for me. The sound is very nice.
I like it, but not enough to use it.
