Re: Rebecca

Rebecca is a pretty name. In terms of spelling, I like Rebecca and Rebekah the best. As for sister names, I think that Estella and Tabitha both work with Rebecca.
I've known quite a few Rebeccas, but that's because it was common in the 80s. Basically all of the Rebeccas I know are in their early 20s. I can't say that I know any little girls named Rebecca. It's definitely been dropping off in popularity over the years.
There was a Rebecca I went to school with who I believe went by Rebecca all of the time. I don't remember hearing anyone call her Becca or Becky. While there is no way to guarantee that no one will ever call her Becca, Becky, and Beck, she can always correct them and say that that she prefers to be called Rebecca. In schools and camps, it seems like usually people call a person by his or her full name unless the person says that he or she prefers to go by a nickname, so it probably won't be that big of a deal.
