place names v names that are places
I agree that sometimes there is a lot of appeal in place names. But names like Adelaide, Georgia, and Petra were names before they were places. I'm sure with pretty much any given name you can find a corresponding city or landmark, because places are so often named after people. If you hated all names that were also places you'd hate every name.Petra is a better name than Alabama
I used to be able to shortlist Petra but I can't like it enough anymore. It's neat though.
