Re: Barnaby
I used to have - not an obsession - but a strong love for this name. I fell in love with it after reading Susan Cooper's "The Dark Is Rising" sequence of books. There's a young character named Barnaby (or Barnabas? It's been a while since I read the book! But I like both variations) with the nn Barney, and he's just so lovable it made me like the name! The only problem I can see with it now is it's association with Barney the dinosaur... however, that seems to be slowly disappearing (is that show even still on), especially since there's the character Barney on How I Met Your Mother. Anyway, I think it's perfectly acceptable and really very handsome.Scarlett and Barnaby, imo, is a much better combo than Scarlett and Phineas... but I really dislike Phineas so perhaps I'm biased! I think it's quite pompous :P
