Sinbad
I seem to remember seeing a tv character once whose name was Sinbad (a guy) and that wasn't Sinbad the Sailor. I looked it up curious here and didn't see it listed. Is it a real name? Does anyone know of that name being used. What do you think of it anyway?

I only know of the actor but I don't know if it's his real name. I came across a BA with a boy named that once.I like it but wouldn't use it it's GP only.

Are you British? There was a character in the old soap Brookside called Sinbad which could be the one you remember if you're from the UK.Other than that, the only Sinbad I've heard of is Sinbad the Sailor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinbad_the_Sailor) who is also known as Sindbad, Al-Sindibaad Al-Bahri and Sindh-abad. I'm guessing the real version is one of the latter three and Sinbad is possible the Western version. Perhaps you could ask on the Facts board for a more detailed answer.

Ha I always think of him too- he will now forever be known as Sinbad-Jerry to me, since moving to Coronation Street!A friend of mine's third middle name is Sinbad. He's Leon Adann Barabas Sinbad Lastame. Everyone at school used to think it was pretty cool!

I can't think of anything else except that he would "sin bad". :P It's a real name as far as I know though.

The only Sinbad I can think of who isn't Sinbad the Sailor is the actor/comedian known for movies like First Kid and Jingle all the Way. Coincidentally, he's the first Sinbad I think of, and I can't really divorce the name from him enough to give a fair opinion of it.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinbad_(actor)Array
