Eli is a great name by itself (I especially like it as a nickname for Elior or Elias,) and Ella is nice, if nicknamey and trendy. Separate, they're both nice names, but as twins, or even siblings, they're tacky, tacky, tacky. Remember that twins, like any other siblings, are individual people who happen to have the same birthday. Plus, if you follow a theme like that, you're losing the opportunity to name each child your all-time favourite name.
