Carla
I've been loving the name Carla lately. What are your thoughts on it?I'm unsure as to what middle name I'd pair with it, though i should be coming up with one soon. :)

It's a nice name, though maybe a tad snobbish and cold, but maybe in the US it wouldn't be perceived this way.

I adore the name Carla, it's so soft and gentle and sweet.Sadly, I can't use it - my great-grandfather was named Carl, my great-aunt is named Carla after him, and her son is named Karel after her. And I have a step-cousin Karl on the other side of my family. It's a family name but a totally untouchable one lol.Definitely a keeper.

I work with a Carla. She's very nice, but the name does nothing for me. Funny, though, because I also work with an Angela and Pamela, and those two grew on me after hearing them so often. Carla just doesn't do it. Sorry.

Makes me think of Carla Bruni.
I happened to read a lot of newspapers at the time there was the fuss around her.Oh well - after some thinking, I still don't really like it. It makes me think of Caramel or Carlotta, which is an awful name IMO. I'd normally prefer "k" instead of "c", but Karla does look self-made. It sounds very polished - you've nothing to catch in it. Many names have this problem - Caitlin, Claudia, Clara...But, I wish I liked Carla - it is an independent and majestic name with a long history.
