I like the name Priscilla "in theory." What do you think of it?

Sorry, but makes me think of a prostitute.

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Deserthttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109045/It's a fantastic movie. But I can never take the name Priscilla seriously because of it. Plus, the 'Pris' beginning does make it sound a tad pretentious. 'In theory', I like it as well :)

I love that movie!

I wouldn't use Priscilla myself, but I'd be delighted to see someone else use it.

I think it's positively stunning, but nms at all. It's something that I'd be thrilled to see used, though. I know a Lydia Priscilla, which I think is brilliant.

It's always given a silly vibe to me. It's the name I'd imagine a comical character to have.

Not something I'd consider as a first name, but pretty for someone else definitely.

Reminds me of a friend of our's dog.

I love to see classic names reborn. So I'm loathe to say anything against it. But the nn Prissy bothers me. Other than that, it's great!

I don't like it at all. It's just so frilly sounding, and in a bad way. I'm pretty sure it's simply because of the Pris- part. I really wish I liked it because it's my dad's mom's name, and I would like to use it to honor her. Fortunately, I love her middle name.

I don't like it. It means "old" and it sounds prissy.

I *do* like the name Priscilla but it's a GP of mine. Just because I simply can't imagine myself naming a child this. It just seems a little "over the top" in my opinion and I haven't heard of too many people who like this name.

I love Priscilla!I don't know why it's not more widely used these days and I hope it comes up with the Lily, Sophia, Ava crowd but doesn't get AS popular.I like the nn Priscille and Prilla. Just beautiful.

I love Priscilla. I've known only one, and that was years ago, a girl I went to high school with. I remember how I envied her her name, old, classic, yet uncommon. Priscilla is another name that should be used more often, along with Lorna.

I like Priscilla. The nickname Cilla is absolutely gorgeous. However, I think it may be rising in popularity charts soon as there is a sudden, yet still rather muted, trend of using old-fashioned names.

Whenever I hear that name, I think of an old, wrinkly, scrawny, gypsy woman. I mean, it's an okay name, but not really pretty (IMO). Or it could sound like "priss". Eh.
