My daughter's name is Delia, which we say with 3 syllables, (DEE-lee-uh), so Cordelia would definitely be 4 in my book.We do have a select few in our lives who pronounce my daughter's name more like DEEL-ya, 2 syllables. I prefer it with 3.Point is, Cordelia with 4 syllables, for sure.

Funny, I say it kind of a combo of cor-deel-yuh and cor-dee-lee-uh. Sort of three and a half syllables. I'm weird.
Closer to three. I can't really tell. O_o

Four. Cor-dehl-ee-a. Cornelia is three: Cor-neel-ya.

Cornelia is my mother's name. Cornelia and Cordelia both kind of mush together for me
and it is hard to figure out how many syllabols.

I say cor-DEEL-yuh. Syllables get slurred in the Midwest. ;)Array
