I'm not a huge fan of Irish names, but this one's ok.
Are you sure about the pronunciation? I would say Seer-la instead of Sayr-la.
And also I am not sure of the meaning. Most Irish girl's names that end in "la" mean "something princess" from the Irish for princess fláith. If you google Saorla you will find the meaning "generous princess" instead. Saor can mean free as in freedom or cheap :) Cheap princess is not so nice though:)

Where did you come across the name/pronunciation of Saorla? I'm certainly not an expert in the pronunciation of Gaelic, but I thought ao made an ee sound?
It was according to namenerds.com. I thought ao meade ee to, since I like many Irish names with ao in them that made ee. But no, I don't think it would necessarily be pronounced SEER-la.
Okay, that is definitely an awesome meaning. And I really kind of love the pronunciation. The spelling looks nice, but I have a feeling that with most people it would come out as something along the lines of "Say, Orla!" :/
