Re: Shaul

I had an evil history teacher whose last name was Shaull when I was a senior. I dreaded her class every day; she very obviously played favorites, she was hypocritical, she made several students cry (myself included), and she was picky to the point of ridiculousness. I've heard very similar things from other people who have had her. My boyfriend decided not to take AP US history just so he wouldn't get her as a teacher (and was glad he did so when all his friends did terribly on the test).
So not only is it an unattractive surname on a girl, I have terrible personal associations with it. Obviously, I think it's awful. ;D
Plus, a shawl (pronounced the same way, I'm assuming) is an article of clothing. Would you name your kid Sweater? Or Sock?
